About Our Courses
At Active Shooter Defense School, we offer the best firearms training courses in San Diego. Matthew Klier and our other instructors provide a safe and fun learning environment for all experienced or non-experienced shooters. Learn the basics in our intro classes, or master specific skills in the more advanced classes. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible training so that you can become a confident and skilled shooter.
Pistol Courses
Our pistol courses were designed to provide the perfect mixture of fun, safety, and learning. Our pistol courses include Basic Combat Pistol, Combat Pistol I, and Combat Pistol II. Because we taylor our courses to the students, if the group is learning quickly we will move on to more advanced techniques which makes it more fun and exciting. Rifle Courses
Our rifle courses have the same structure as our pistol courses in that they build upon each other to help the students progress and learn the fundamentals necessary to becoming a better shooter. As with any weapons system, it is important that the person be comfortable operating and maintaining their equipment. Our rifle courses start with Basic Combat Rifle which is a half day course, followed by our Combat Rifle I and Combat Rifle II which are full day courses. Shotgun Courses
Our shotgun courses are set up a little differently from the pistol and rifle courses. We do have a Basic Combat Shotgun which covers all the fundamental skills and safety procedures. Our next course is the Combat Shotgun I which is for the shooter with some formal instruction or the shooter that would like to take it to the next level. Our final shotgun class is a specialty course which covers 3-Gun Shotgun. This is a skill necessary for participating in 3-Gun competitions which are stages that the shooter uses a pistol, rifle, and a shotgun.
